Delicious restaurant in Kamakura. I ordered this delicious bowl which cost around $13. Came with a side of soup and a bean pudding. The salad was fresh and delicious. Staff was kind and made an effort to try and explain things to us in English. Would definitely recommend for any vegan/vegetarian travelers or anyone looking for a healthy and tasty lunch.

Delicious vegan meal set. Lots of delicious flavours, many options all packed together in one bowl. Delicious and it felt very 'Japanese'. We bought all the food and I enjoyed trying both the curry and the rice set. I asked for extra rice and was told it'd be ¥100 but they charged me ¥220 - I know it was probably a mistake and I felt too nervous to say anything about it. Friendly staff, nice restaurant renovated from an old traditional house (presumably?)

When I arrived, I thought it was close as it was a Thu. There was only 1 item on the menu, but all are delicious! The food is made with fresh ingredients and love from the owner. The place is a hidden gem in Kamakura and a good place to unwind for a while. I would definitely back on other days to try other item on the menu.

Recommended to reserve on busy days/weekends! Cute little house-turned-restaurant hidden off the main road. Lovely owner who speaks English too! All vegan, all healthy! The set menu had such a lot of stuff in it, almost like a full Shojin Ryori (vegan Buddhist cuisine) meal, amazing!

Cotonoha is the best spot in Hase to go if you are vegan. When we arrived the welcome was the warmer we ever had in our whole visit in Japan. The woman who attended us prepared us 2 menus although we got the place out of the hour. Also the menu was delicious and quite varied in kinds of vegetables and flavours. If you are visiting the Great Buddha do not hesitate to go to Cotonoha - even for non-vegan people it will be an awesome experience.

A superb vegan restaurant. The interior design is charming and tranquil. The lunches we got here offered us copious amounts of all the fresh vegetables that we had been wishing for after a long stay in Japan. The hostesses/chefs were welcoming. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favourite meals I’ve ever had. Ever. It was nourishing, delicious and a great portion. I think of it often. I loved the restaurant setting, it felt traditional, it was aesthetically beautiful and the atmosphere was calming, yet joyful. The staff were so friendly, made you feel at home. I had lots of questions regarding Obon, the lady was so kind to write down so many good recommendations. It was located very close to the station, main shrine and gardens.
